The Village will offer improved access to the Thornapple River, complete with a public amphitheater and riverfront park, as well as a mix of retail, restaurants and residential uses.
Ada was first established as a fur trading post in 1821 by Rix Robinson and was Kent County's first official settlement.
Built in 1867 and replaced after a fire in 1979, the Ada covered bridge is one of the area's cherished icons. Today, it's one of the few left standing in Michigan.
Ada Township encompasses 37 square miles and is home to more than 13,000 residents and 100 businesses.
Ada Township features more than 1,000 acres of public land, including four community parks and miles of trails.
