The East Precinct is comprised of the townships of Ada, Cascade, and Grand Rapids. Patrol coverage is based on a roaming patrol of all three townships. The East Precinct has 12 deputies specifically assigned to Ada, Cascade, and Grand Rapids townships. East Precinct Deputies are based out of headquarters at 701 Ball Avenue, Grand Rapids, MI. Citizens living in the East Precinct that require support services (copies of police reports, gun permits, etc.) are invited to visit the main office located at 701 Ball Avenue.

Community Policing

Ada, Cascade, and Grand Rapids townships share a community police officer who is available to community groups to help identify and resolve issues within those townships. Requests for assistance from community policing can be made by calling (616) 632-3220.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Sheriff's Uniformed Law Enforcement Division is to provide general, high visibility police patrol and protection in conjunction with the responsibility pertaining to the investigation of criminal, civil, and traffic related matters. This division additionally provides public awareness through education and community programs. By utilizing continuous training and updated technology, the road patrol deputy can be efficient in police service, along with achieving proper and positive action even in the most trying circumstances.
