Downtown Development Authority Development Area Citizens Council Meeting CANCELLED
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a meeting of the Ada Township DDA Development Area Citizens Council will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Ada Township Offices, 7330 Thornapple River Dr. SE, Ada, Michigan.
The Downtown Development Authority Development Area Citizens Council is made up entirely of persons who reside in the DDA District to help facilitate public input and advise the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board. The Citizens Council is tasked with advising the Authority Board and the Township Board on the development and implementation of a Development and Tax Increment Financing Plan. The DDA Board welcomes and encourages residents, members of the business community and other stakeholders to become involved and engage with the DDA or Council at any time. The Citizen's Council currently meets on a quarterly basis.
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was created in coordination with Ada Township, and has the authority and capability to develop, finance, own and operate a variety of public improvements and programs intended to improve and enhance the DDA District, which includes the Village area and land along the Fulton St. (M-21) corridor extending from the west Township boundary to the business areas near the Pettis Ave/Fulton St. intersection.
